It’s been a few years between Tokyo Police Club albums, so of course the buzz and anticipation for their LA show was high. Fans lined up hours before doors opened to insure a good spot.

Before TCP hit the stage, they had two great openers. Said The Whale, fellow Canadians, got the crowd ready with their upbeat tunes. Next, Geographer, an LA favorite. Lead singer Michael Deni was all over the stage and during the first song got the crowd to participate with a sing along.

TCP opened their set with “Argentina I, II, III” off their new album Forcefield. The pushing and rowdiness started as soon as the first chord was struck. The youngsters in the audience even attempted crowd surfing, but few were successful and would just fall to the ground.
