Seattle outfit Telekinesis, headed by the adorable Michael Lerner, gave those in attendance a taste of bouncy pop perfectly suited for the upcoming summer. Lerner mentioned he was once asked if it was hard to sing and drum at the same time, to which he replied “yeah, it’s really fucking hard.” In support of the new album Dormarion, Lerner and company (including some familiar faces from other Seattle-based bands) played an all-too-short set, sans encore, leaving the crowd yearning for more.

Channelling some classic rock vibes The Paparazzi opened the night. While frontman Erik Paparazzi has toured with several notable acts, we couldn’t help but feel the quartet left a little something to be desired. On their last track the bass really kicked in and left us wishing there had been more of it throughout the entire set.

Even before they took the stage the crowd was buzzing about North Carolina’s Mount Moriah. The group’s set was riddled with the popping and crackling of monitors, yet through it they persevered to jam out some quality Americana rock.
