PICTURE THIS: The Vaccines @ The Regency Ballroom, SF 9/23/13

Upon opening the doors that lead from the lobby into the main room, a burst of hot air rushed by. The crowd could not have been more anxious; screaming and cheering at every crew personnel resembling a band member who walked on stage. The Vaccines came out to a thunderous welcome and powered through a relatively long set, an even mix of old and fresh material. Their newest single, “Melody Calling,” brought a rapturous response and proved that strong songwriting and punchy guitars have more staying power than the press would have us believe.
