Friday, July 10th was a night of many options in terms of live music in San Francisco. At The Independent, local bands Rin Tin Tiger and Owl Paws were throwing a birthday party for their most recent releases: Burial Grounds for RTT, their third full-length, and Reservoir for Owl Paws, their first. Despite the competition around town, the show was well-attended and well-enjoyed, with the whole crowd joining in for the chorus of Rin Tin Tiger’s finale, Toxic Pocketbook: “If it’s gonna hurt boy, you better make it good!” And it only hurt in the best of ways.
