Of Monsters and Men @ Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC 5/7/2015

The Icelandic band has returned to the stage with an arsenal of inspiring new songs. Of Monsters and Men kicked off the night with a compelling preview of a song that was dark, eerie, and heavy, while maintaining the same atmospheric and magical tone. Enamored by the gorgeous ensemble of horns, keyboards, and guitars, the band added the perfect amount of touch to enchant the audience with a compelling new chemistry on stage. The setlist balanced well between classics from My Head is an Animal, and new material from their upcoming record, Beneath the Skin. Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, and Ragnar Þórhallsson kept the crowd on their toes with sweet little introductions to new songs, teasing us with a potential single release in the near future. Of Monsters and Men will not be losing momentum in their career anytime soon.
