PICTURE THIS: Andrew W.K. @ Regency Ballroom, SF 3/06/12

With the 10th Anniversary of his world tour kicking of just 4 shows prior, Andrew W.K. brought it at the Regency on the March 6th. His opener Math The Band, which consisted of only 2 people, proved why they were touring with the great Andrew W.K. Their high energy was accompanied by a ridiculously well-planned light show which left you exhausted and in disbelief that it actually just happened.

And as for Andrew W.K., I would be lying if I said that he wasn't living up to his “

King of Partying” title. The energy level of his entire live performance was nothing short of a beautiful chaos. As much of a bad wrap this guy gets for his style, people just don't get it. He's doing what he fucking knows best — partying and being damn good at it on stage. The intense lighting added to the energy of his live band, who were right there with him keeping the crowd on their toes.
