PICTURE THIS: Maggie Rogers + Vera Blue @ Rickshaw Stop, San Francisco 3/24/17
Maggie Rogers and Vera Blue played to a sold out Popscene show at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco.
The Australian act Vera Blue opened the night with a great set of music. The first part of her set was from Fingertips, a soon-to-be-released EP in the United States. The rest of her set also included music from yet another forthcoming LP. Vera Blue has a few dates in NYC before she heads back down under. She is definitely worth the trip to check out live.
This was Maggie Rogers’ first time in San Francisco playing the wildly popular Popscene bill. She more than lived up to all the buzz swirling around her and put on a killer show at Rickshaw Stop. While performing songs like “Alaska,” “On and Off” and a Nest favorite, “Dog Years,” Rogers nabbed us with her captivating stage presence and proved she is about to fast track it to big things. We would highly recommend going to see her now in smaller clubs before she graduates to larger venues in future tours. She is touring now in support of her EP Now That the Light Is Fading.
