PICTURE THIS: Ladytron @ Regency Ballroom, SF 9/25/2011

English electro-pop band Ladytron brought the noise to the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on Sunday night. Lead singer Helen Marnie floated around the stage with her haunting vocals filling the ballroom.

Mira Aroyo complimented the moody vibe with her vocals and synth mastery. Daniel Hunt and Reuben Wu stuck to the background with their synths, guitars, and a drummer to let the ladies run the show.

Ladytron rocked the crowd early with songs like “Runaway” and “Ghosts” from Velocifero. Then dug into their deep catalog for some fan favorites before bringing out their latest hit single “White Elephant” from Gravity the SeducerSonoio opened up for Ladytron and hypnotized the crowd with his seance-inspired stage presence and infectious industrial grooves. He was in his own trance-like state as he put everyone in the attendance under his spell with tracks like “Enough” and “Can You Hear Me.”

My passion for photography began in high school. It is there I learned how to shoot and develop b&w film. It is also where I learned to truly “make” a photograph. To this day, I get a rush from freezing a moment in time and sharing my view of the world with others.

  1. Brendan, You've reached grandeur moments in time. You're kind to acknowledge your high school photo teacher. I just want to add that I strongly pushed you into taking art and photography, and set up the dark room in the basement because I knew you had talent. You've outdone yourself. Love, Mom
