PICTURE THIS: Junip + On An On + Barbarossa @ Bimbo’s 365 Club, SF 6/1/13
The synth-wielding folk group played a number of favorites from both their LPs to a sizeable crowd surrounded by dining patrons. Openers Barbarossa and On An On (the remnants of indie rock group Scattered Trees) drew the audience close to the stage with their progressively energetic sets.
Junip‘s headlining performance showcased the best of the band, from José Gonzales‘ pensive acoustic strumming to Tobias Winterkorn’s ebb and flow of synth.
