STREAM: New Tokyo Police Club Track NOW
Head over to Tokyo Police Club’s interspace home to stream “Breakneck Speed” off the forthcoming album Champ (June 8th via mom+pop).
TPC has been one of the buzzier bands over the past few years, gaining critical acclaim off a series of EPs and TV appearances. But the hype over their debut Elephant Shell was a bit anti-climatic; the album was good but there was a sense of urgency. It must have seemed like breakneck speed to the youngsters. The lyrics are so poignant here. There’s an endearing honesty to them as Dave Monks sings “It’s good to be back.” We couldn’t agree more.
