Spoon, Shins, others cover love songs for Starbucks

Starbucks knows how to capitalize on those of us poor saps who like to see some of our favorite indie artists cover some of the most rockin’ love songs ever recorded.

Spoon (pictured) and the Shins’ James Mercer all have contributed a song to this year’s edition of Sweetheart, a compilation out in time for Valentine’s Day.
