PREVIEW: The Rumble @ Cafe Du Nord 8/4/10

The San Francisco collective party “The Rumble” is back this Wednesday with 3 bands that are gonna blow your hair back, get your ass shaking, and guess what? It’s free if you RSVP here. This month we’ve got Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt, Rumspringa, and SF locals Billy & Dolly.

Dance-Synth-Soul-Party rockers Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt brings their epic party to Du Nord just a few weeks before their appearance at Outside Lands (August 14th & 15th). If you’ve yet to experience the collective party that TPDR is going to bring on Wednesday night, you absolutely must check out the video below and check out the mp3′s we selected at the bottom!

Los Angeles is kind enough to lend us Rumspringa for the evening, a 2 piece duo that is reminiscent of acts like The Black Keys and The White Stripes. Sure to offer great support for TPDR, we’re excited for their upcoming release on Cantora records (out this fall). After checking out the video below, you’ll see that this wall of sound created by this duo shouldn’t be missed.

San Francisco is becoming quite the hotbed for unknown artists, and Billy & Dolly are no exception. You can pick up their latest album, In the Beginning on their Bandcamp page here for free!! It’s a blend of power – rock songs with thick harmonies and distortion. Thanks to Jared Giarrusso from the Bay Bridged for letting us snag this picture. Go go San Francisco bands!!

Don’t forget to RSVP through Sonic Living so you don’t have to pay the $5 and we’ll see you on Wednesday night!!

From time to time you can download free mp3s from artists and bands that we love listening to. We scour the web for these links, occasionally hosting our own, in the hopes of influencing you to go out and buy/support these artists and bands. If that bugs you, because you hate free stuff and wish to be compensated for it, let us know and we will remove it ASAP. Happy listening.
