Phoenix, Casablancas announce tours

Julian Casablancas (you may know him as the lead singer of the Strokes) is still pursuing that whole solo career thing, and has announced tour in March and April. Sadly, the closest he’s making it to San Fran is his Coachella date in April. But no worries, kids: the Strokes are indeed coming out with a new album in September, says Strokes drummer Fab Moretti. They’ll also be performing their comeback gig in June at the UK’s Isle of Wright festival.

And speaking of Coachella, Phoenix is dropping by as a part of theirÂ spring tour of the States, mainly middle America. If you missed them last month, you can catch the boys in Santa Cruz April 17 (the night before their Coachella stop).
