Jill Scott walks away from label

R&B star Jill Scott’s former record label Hidden Beach is suing the singer for dropping them though they say she still owes them three records.

Hidden Beach is alleging that they were the reason that Scott shot to fame, and that she stiffed them when it came time to show her gratitude. And by gratitude, we mean more music and fulfilling contractual obligations. According to Hidden Beach, their support “resulted in Scott becoming one of the most well-known, highly respected recording artists of our time.” They are suing for undisclosed damages.
