Vampire Weekend (pictured) will be hitting the road this summer for a U.S. tour, though they won’t be passing through the Bay Area. Guess we have to stop pouting, kids, since they were just here last month. We heart Vampire Weekend, and they have tapped bands like Beach House and Dum Dum Girls to open for them.

Yes! Arcade Fire has sent a postcard to the Internet to let us know that they will be releasing a new single within the next couple of weeks!

Ronnie James Dio, metal god, died yesterday at the age of 67. His wife Wendy posted the following on his website: “Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss.
