We all knew that Trent Reznor and Mariqueen Maandig (pictured) were collaborating on more than just music, so it shouldn’t be too surprising that two-thirds of How to Destroy Angels are expecting their first child. With yesterday’s release of the band’s debut self-titled EP, Maandig has revealed in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily that she is pregnant.
Bright Eyes‘ Conor Oberst has reunited the band Desaparecidos for the first time since 2002 to perform two shows with with Cursive and Lullaby For The Working Class in Omaha at the end of July. Proceeds from the concerts will benefit the Nebraska ACLU, which is fighting a law that passed in Fremont, Nebraska similar to the law in Arizona.
The new Strokes album has been pushed back again, according to an interview Julian Casablancas did with BBC 6. The release date for the band’s fourth album has been moved to March 2011 (from January), but Casablancas says that the album is halfway finished.
