FROM THE NEWS NEST: Katy Perry gets slimed and more.

We’ll totally blame the power of the Tweet on this one: Katy Perry (pictured) was slimed while presenting at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Saturday night. Before the ceremony she tweeted, “Hope I don’t get none of that disgusting booger slime on me @Kids Choice Awards 2night … I’ll slap the ho that ruins my weave, nails, face!” She pretty much sealed the deal on that one. But that neon green definitely complimented her super-cute electric blue wig she was sporting!

Toro y Moi, who has recently been on tour with The Ruby Suns, has had to cancel a handful of shows after his laptop, ID and clothing were stolen from his car after a Friday night show at the Brooklyn Bowl in NYC. Considering that his laptop is integral to his performance, it’s no wonder that he’s taking some time to regroup before joining the tour again on March 31. What assholes. His clothes? Come on!

We’ve got new Beck tunes, kids! Thanks to the trailer for the graphic novel-based Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World, we know that Beck has contributed a couple of original songs to the film, starring indie darling Michael Cera (who’s always George Michael to us). Beck is the man behind all of the tunes of Pilgrim’s band Sex-Bob-Omb.
