Kanye West released “Power,” his first single off of his upcoming album Good Ass Job yesterday. The track is hard-hitting and samples from King Crimson‘s “21st Century Schizoid Man,” and is definitely a return to the ego that we love/hate about West. Good Ass Job is set for release Sept. 14.

Troubled (understatement) singer Amy Winehouse (pictured) has formed a band with the Roots drummer ?uestlove and producer Raphael Saadiq, yet the kids are finding it difficult to record. Thanks to Winehouse’s various legal run-ins, she isn’t able to get a work visa to visit the States. Despite this, ?uestlove is still optimistic about the group’s future.

Trent Reznor worked with his longtime collaborator Atticus Ross to score the film The Social Network — you know, that movie about Facebook. While we’re thinking this is a pretty interesting choice of musical aesthetics, Reznor calls The Social Network “really fucking good. And dark!” Looks like we might have to get a ticket to this.
