FROM THE NEWS NEST: Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio to release solo album and more.
Our hearts were nearly broken when TV on the Radio (pictured) announced that they would be taking a year hiatus, but we should have known that the boys couldn’t completely take a break. First singer-guitarist Kyp Malone began Rain Machine and now TV on the Radio member Dave Sitek is releasing an album this fall as a part of his project Maximum Balloon. Can’t wait to hear the new sound.
For those unlucky of us that didn’t make it to Sasquatch this weekend, we didn’t get to see rapper Kid Cudi introduce his now BFF to the audience. The Pixies have added more U.S. dates to their 20th anniversary Doolittle tour, and while none of them are near the Bay Area, we’re excited that they are sharing performances of their milestone album in a lot of the lesser hit states like Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri.
