FROM THE NEWS NEST: Beyonce goes retro in new vid and more.

Just as underwhelmed as we were by Christina Aguilera‘s video for “Not Myself Tonight” and how referential got a little too close, we are positively over the moon for Beyonce‘s (pictured) video of “Why Don’t You Love Me?” in all of its retro Bettie Page glammed out glory. The video feels like intimate home movies from our parents’ childhood, only hot. Oh, and the song is kind of catchy, too.

So we’ve got our first taste of Trent Reznor and his wife’s band How to Destroy Angels with the unveiling of their first song “A Drowning.” A bit of an opus, the seven-minute track is perfectly described by Pitchfork as a “slither.” Mariqueen Maandig’s voice is sweet, and we’re looking forward to the summer release for the band’s EP.

Step aside Jonas Brothers: Hanson‘s back! The three brothers who could have been the boy half of the Brady Bunch, may be all grown up with kids, but they showed New York City this weekend that they could still rock. They played the entirety of their upcoming release Shout It Out, which drops June 8. And the girls are still screaming…
