FROM THE NEWS NEST: Backstreet’s back, all right! and more.

Despite always being too old for the Backstreet Boys (pictured), we’re excited that they’ll be at San Francisco Pride to rock your body! Quit playing games with my heart! The band will be performing a couple of dates at the Warfield that same week for those of you with some serious pre-teen nostalgia, but will also be performing a free (donations gladly accepted) on the main stage at the 40th anniversary of the festival June 27.

Sad that you can’t make it next week to OK Go‘s show at the Fillmore? Check them out in San Mateo for the Maker Faire May 23! The boys, who “share the same DIY ethos” as MAKE magazine, take the stage around 5 p.m. and will be surrounded by many pretty amazing inventions and who knows what pranks they’ll be pulling!

Limp Bizkit is scrapping their comeback tour concerts this summer because they’re not feeling the venues. (Sidenote: Am I writing this post from 1998?!) Lead singer Fred Durst wrote on Twitter: “Moving U.S. headlining tour dates from amphitheaters to arenas for a better Limp experience. Basically, Limp is not an amphitheater band. We like to see less seats in front of the stage and more floor filled with fans going bananas. It’s just more fun for all of us that way. Some bands are meant to be seen mainly sitting down, but definitely NOT Limp Bizkit.”
