YOU GOTTA SEE THIS: “The Breaks” by Planningtorock

Planningtorock artist Janine Rostron has diverse interests. The Berlin-based Englishwoman has collaborated with the Knife and Mt. Sims on an opera score, and is about to release her second album (and first with DFA Records), W. She directed and edited the video for her song “The Breaks,” a darkly theatrical piece that inexplicably gives me the heebie jeebies. The blue-tinged video is hard to decipher, but it’s nonetheless a fascinating complement to an already compelling first single.
