Drop the needle onto Rapture, the latest album from Chris Ward, better known as Tropics, and you’ll be transported into a room where only you and he sit face-to-face divulging your most precious memories and experiences. In the vein of Rhye, James Vincent McMorrow, and Lo-Fang, Tropics is the perfect blend of electro-R&B with singer/songwriter sensibilities when it comes to the beautifully penned lyrics. Tropics is playing a select number of shows this summer and San Francisco’s Rickshaw Stop is one of them on Thursday, July 16th.
