SXSW 2010 – Day 4: Jukebox the Ghost, Freelance Whales, Rogue Wave
Washington D.C. trio Jukebox the Ghost played piano-driven power pop songs with enough infectious energy and hooks to turn random passersby into fans.
Totally adorable Brooklyn chamber pop group Freelance Whales played a spirited acoustic set of their positive, instantly memorable songs.
Despite the freezing weather and seemingly endless technical problems, Rogue Wave delivered a strong, high-energy performance of six songs.
James Husband, aka of Montreal’s James Huggins, flexed his singer-songwriter muscle, playing straightforward rock songs with a bit of an Elvis Costello vibe.
