SHOW PREVIEW: Holy Wave + Pearl Charles + Spirit Award @ Bottom of the Hill, SF 11/8/18

November 05. 2018 | By Wayne Jessup

Formed in El Paso, now doing their level best to “Keep Austin Weird,” psych-rockers Holy Wave are riding high on their newest release, the mesmerizing Adult Fear, and the touring life brings them to the Bay Area’s Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco on November 8th.

When it comes to bills, we’re a big fan of the stacked deck, and Holy Wave is bringing along Los Angeles’s Pearl Charles and Seattle’s Spirit Award. Pearl Charles’ Sleepless Dreamer (Kanine Records) came out in February and the slow-burner is gaining more momentum with each single. Spirit Award made a splash with their debut Neverending and the Seattle trio is back with a brand new LP, Muted Crowd. While Charles continues on north, Holy Wave heads the other way, landing at the Resident in LA’s Arts District on November 12th.

Tickets to this all ages show in San Francisco at Bottom of the Hill can be purchased for $12 by clicking here.
