Mike Doughty and His Band Fantastic played The Independent on Saturday in support of Doughty’s new album, Yes and Also Yes. Doughty, formerly the leader of Soul Coughing, played songs from his entire catalog to an eager and enthusiastic audience. Moon Hooch, a New York City three-piece comprised of a drummer and two saxophonists, opened with their unique fusion of jazz and dance music.
