Live Review: Jeremy Jay at Cafe Du Nord
With a sweet, subtle demeanor, Jeremy Jay stood before his audience ready to entice. The simple setup felt comfortable and the Cafe du Nord crowd was all happy chatter, but once the dapper young artist from Angel Town, CA started to perform, it was all eyes on Jay.
Knowing just what kids these days want to hear, Jeremy Jay’s songs have easy appeal and charm. A taste of eighties decadence and the influence of sixties cool make Jay’s music more engaging than common electro pop stuff. The evening had a hip, nonchalance and tracks like “Breaking the Ice” off Slow Dance or “Future Dreams II” off Dreamland were irresistible live.
