alright, you want my dirt? here goes, the last time I saw Mazzy Star, it was at the Independent. I was living in Berkeley at the time, it came through on Calx that Mazzy Star was sold out, I actually didn't even know she was playing before I heard she was sold out but I was determined to go. I scored some roofies off my raver house mate then grabbed the gorgeous the shy tall nordic/italian mutherfucker who was my secret crush and all the girls were gaga about and said "Lets GO!" and he said "but it's sold out" and I says.."ah never mind that" We get to the Independent and there's a guy selling his ticket…and then another and we are IN…well almost…turns out I forgot my freaken ID on my rush out the door. argh. I told the doorman, oh it's in my car then waited around till I saw a girl I could pass for and offered to buy her a drink if she let me use her ID. The show was amaZing, we came out on such a high we didnt want the night to end…so as we were walking out we asked some people if there was a good place to go dancing and he's like "oh yeah, hit the end-up, everyone hits the end-up in fact I'm going that way if you guys want a ride" and we were like "oh right on, thanks" on our way over he says he's gotta stop over and pick up some coke and it's a quick stop and we are welcome to come along and we're like "sure, whatever~" we go to this fucken compound in the depths of SOMA, it's gated with cameras everywhere. and I'm thinking "oh shit" we get past security and a guy in a white cabana suit and his saucy redheaded coke whore me us at the door. They had a beautiful loft, we spent most of the night doing coke and listening to this guy talk about how he could hook us up with free cable, we didnt even have a TV! I stumbled past his amory on the way to the bathroom and decided it was time to make an exit. We hit the End-up it was ok then around 5am we took the Owl back to Berkeley so I could make it to work. Long story short this was the night we fell in love, in the middle of this beautiful madness. We dated for years on and off and Mazzy Star was always our make out music…
not that we condone drug use (wink wink) but this is effen unbelievable. sounds like a movie waiting to be written. you win!

I've been crushing on Hope since like 1991 when her first album came out. Saw her live in
like '93 in Austin at the legendary venue, 'Liberty Lunch' which is no longer around.

My secret crush is on Arundhati Roy, she of "The God of Small Things" fame and general positivity supporter. There is something about the joy in here eyes and their roundness that really touches the soul. I want to just generally support her, ya know, but she is just so strikingly beautiful that the crush must remain a secret.
