FREE TICKETS: The White Buffalo, Mike Gibbons + The Hypnotist Collectors Farewell Show @ Slim’s, SF 4/14/12

April 09. 2012 | By Collin Welbon

Not every singer/songwriter is also a great storyteller, but Jacob Smith aka The White Buffalo tells stories in a way that has been compared to Waylon Jennings and Tom Waits. The White Buffalo is coming back to San Francisco to play Slim’s on April 14th, and we are giving away FREE tickets to the show.

The Bay Area band, The Hypnotist Collectors, is also playing that night, but it is not just any gig for The Hypnotist Collectors. In fact, it is their farewell show, so you won’t want to miss your opportunity to say goodbye. Also added to the lineup is Mike Gibbons. For your chance to win a FREE pair of tickets to the show, leave us a comment telling us about a singer/songwriter you’ve seen in the past who is also an amazing storyteller. Contest ends 4/13/12.

“The whole point of songwriting is taking people on an emotional journey, like a mini-movie,” says Jacob Smith aka The White Buffalo.
