TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 12/9/2021 Edition

December 09. 2021 | By Wayne Jessup

Welcome back to another Tracks, kicking off this week with the spotlight on The Tracks. “Glance” is the East LA indie outfit’s preview of their forthcoming LP Paredón Blanco, following up last fall’s single “You People”.

Moving on to NYC, “Cruel” is a great introduction to the art-damaged quintet Gustaf. Their debut LP Audio Drag For Ego Slobs is out now on Royal Mountain Records. Don’t miss them at the Echoplex in LA on 3/21.

“Born At The Disco” is the title track of Jennifer O’Connor’s first LP in five years. Showcasing her effortless command of genres, it’s out now on her own Kiam Records.

Concluding this episode on a ferocious note, it’s back to Oakland with Artsick. “Ghost Of Myself” is from their upcoming LP Fingers Crossed, due out 1/21 on Slumberland. Catch the band live at the inaugural Oakland Weekender, coming to the Golden Bull in January.
