FREE TICKETS: Playground Festival @ Hidden Valley, Irvine
For most the all-inclusive music “festival” is synonymous with indie bands, hipsters, and camping. And beer. Lots and lots of beer. But this weekend all of that will change with the first ever Playground Festival at Hidden Valley in Irvine hosted by Nick Cannon. The fest will feature more than 200 artists on 10 stages playing music from rock to pop to electronic to reggae to hip-hop, you name it. Everything but country because this is Orange County after all. Musicians slated to perform include: The Game, Big Sean, Panic! at the Disco, Lil Jon, New Boyz, The Cataracs, Break The Circus, Steel Panther, Mickey Avalon, celebrity DJ Heavy Grinder, and Fishbone.
The Playground Festival will also feature attractions like laser tag, live art shows, and carnival rides. All of this goes down this Labor Day weekend and we have a pair of tickets to give away. Just tell us what your favorite playground game was and why you were such a badass at it.

My favorite playground game was Dodgeball because I was one of the bigger kids who liked to take aim at the smaller kids =p
Tug of war. The short "stocky" kid became the immovable object. Unbeknownst to my fellow classmates I was giving them a lesson in physics while improving their physical fitness.
freeze tag. sure the point of the game was to not get tagged or to be a super hero that would unfreeze all your friends, but to be the guy that had the best poses once frozen: that's a winner to me.
I loved the monkey bars and hanging upside down. Could explain why I'm so crazy now… all that time with the blood rushing to my head…
We didn't have a playground. We played in the streets. The game was called kicked the can. You find a soda can fill it up with rocks and crush it. Then you throw the can as far as you can and the person that was it had to go get it walking while everyone went to go hide. The person had to walk back to the original place put the can down and start looking for peole. When he found someone he had to run back to the can and call out " 1 2 3 I see [name of person] hiding behind the car" if this was correct then the person came out and stood around until the person found everyone. But if someone that was hiding beat the person that was looking for people to the can and kicked the can then everyone was free again to had and the person that was it had to start all over hence the name, kick the can.
