FREE TICKETS: Mixology, Mixtapes, and Remixes @ California Academy of Sciences, SF 7/19/12

July 13. 2012 | By Mayumi Okamoto

Making mixtapes is a dying art. Do you remember the painstaking process of carefully curating and arranging the songs on a mixtape you were making for someone? So do our friends at Noise Pop. Next week’s installation of Nightlife at the California Academy of Sciences celebrates all things “mix”-ed. Experience deliciously refreshing drinks from the mixologists at the Cocktail Lab, bring your own mixtape and swap it with a stranger (literally), and watch Friendzone, Yalls, and Giraffage remix tracks in the Remix Lounge. Did we mention that Jakub Alexander a.k.a. Heathered Pearls and Dan the Automator will be performing in the outdoor Piazza? Because they are. Leave us a comment telling us what three songs are essential on your mixtape for your chance to win a pair of tickets to Nightlife. Contest ends 7/18/12.
