In case you haven’t heard, Minus The Bear is celebrating a decade’s worth of music together with a 10 Year Anniversary tour this fall. Oh my, how time flies. If you slept on your chance to get tickets to their sold out show at Slim’s, don’t fret. By popular demand, Minus The Bear have added a second date at Slim’s on Saturday 11/5/11 and we’ve got your ticket hook-up to the show. To witness them perform Highly Refined Pirates in its entirety, just drop us a note in the comments section confessing your undying love for Minus The Bear for your chance to win. i love minus the bear. I've always been their number 1 fan for their entire ten year span of awesome music. they've gotten me through some dark times. i would even go as far to say that their music saved my life. i missed my chance to get tickets which sucks, but i would love to have a second chance. winning these tickets would make me happier than words can express. their songs "my time", "hold me down", and "knights" express so many things that i feel/have felt in my life but wasn't able to say myself. minus the bear is awesome. they're great people who make excellent music. they've always been my all time favorite band.

Minus The Bear are one of those bands I would put on my "play at my funeral" list. With their music being as honest as it is, while still having such an ethereal, other-worldly quality to it really speaks to me as both a Musician, and a conscious human being. I don't believe there's any other band I could attribute so much time to as the soundtrack for personal growth, trying times, and a source of pure inspiration. Innovative music brings innovative decisions, and sweet grooves bring good times for all.

Minus the Bear is one of the most innovative and talented bands I have known. They have influenced my guitar playing since middle school, when a friend told me about this band. Next thing, I took a trip to the local Rasputin to buy Highly Refined Pirates after I heard a few tracks in his dad's car when I carpooled to school. I was drawn to their musicianship, and calming yet upbeat music. Minus the Bear is a band that has been there to listen to and cheer me up. My personal most favorite from this band is Absinthe Party at the Fly Honey Warehouse. I would definitely be honored to see them live. MTB <3

Minus the Bear = love words cannot accurately depict. Music to my ears of which I would love to hear live at one of the best intimate venues to see a band in SF.
