With the ‘Doe Deer’ 12 inch vinyl EP release today for Record Store Day (4/17) the new Crystal Castles single from the forthcoming second self-titled album has bee released along with it. With comments of “is that really Alice singing” and a few holy explicative moments, the new song titled “Celestica” has only seen rave reviews and will satiate fans until the album drops this June.

“Celestica” is a hint that Crystal Castles may be steering away from the harshness that is “Alice Practice” and, dare I say it, more listener-friendly. Either way Alice Glass’ ethereal singing instead of abrasive screeching is a good difference.
