There’s a spot in purgatory that Ontario’s Molly Drag has found and called his personal home. Even though this place between life and death keeps him swimming through melancholic waters leading nowhere clear, the gloom pop musician’s energy is drawn from that dwindling space. “Intensive Care Unit” sees the artist tend to his personal wounds while spouting lyricisms comparable to Death Cab For Cutie. But where Death Cab don’t scream, Molly Drag passionately wants his voice to be found in the sea of noise (“Vivien’s Grave”). “Knee Highs” can take listeners back to their swinging moods after having read or watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Molly Drag will get you high on your lows. That’s the effect of his drug.
