2011 Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Playlist

August 11. 2011 | By Jason Jurgens

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass returns to Golden Gate Park for its 11th season. Familiar legends like Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, John Prine, Emmylou Harris, and Robert Plant are back in the Speedway Meadow. I’d pay a handsome price to see thems alone. Fresh faces like Kurt Vile, Cass McCombs, Bright Eyes, Jessica Lea Mayfield, and Justin Townes Earle make this a completely ridiculous feat of FREENESS. It’s almost like a passing of the torch. Eh?

The Devil Makes Three – “All Hail”

Justin Townes Earle – “They Killed John Henry”

Fitz & the Tantrums – “MoneyGrabber (Daytrotter Session)”

Drink The Ocean promo pack by AllofaSudden

The Felice Brothers – “Run Chicken Run”
