YOU GOTTA SEE THIS: “Home is a Fire” by Death Cab for Cutie

May 16. 2011 | By Mayumi Okamoto

Death Cab for Cutie‘s latest video for “Home is a Fire” off their forthcoming album Codes and Keys pairs the band with the man who gave us an image of Hope in 2008, the legendary street artist, Shepard Fairey. The video quite literally translates the song’s lyrics into works of urban art strewn about the cityscape. Think Exit Through the Gift Shop in four minutes plus a Death Cab soundtrack minus one Mr. Brainwash. Codes and Keys drops on May 31st. Also, catch the works of Shepard Fairey at the “Art in the Streets” exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles through August 8, 2011.
