High School Reunion: Don Albonico (1974-1977)

November 24. 2011 | By Don Albonico

Let’s climb into the way-back time machine to 1976, the year the country turned 200 and the Apple computer was formed. I bought my first car, a 1970 Mustang Mach 1, blue with a shaker hood, god I loved that car. The punk era started and the Clash released their first album in 1977. High school was the start of my two great passions, photography and music. Working on the school newspaper as a photographer seemed to have permanently attached a camera to my hand. The concerts I went to had a lot of the performers listed below. Some of these concerts are just a little fuzzy. Various forms of intoxicating substances always magically appeared inside the concert. I notice that much hasn’t changed over the years. The love of music developed into a career that has served me well. So take a listen to some of the bands from my high school days and imagine yourself driving around in a blue 1970 Mustang.
