Chilling in the wings of the Twitterverse is where I discovered the romantic melodies of shoegaze band, She Sir. The 5-piece band from Austin, TX isn’t currently on an American label, but is signed to labels in Japan and Ireland which distribute across all of Asia and Europe. She Sir’s intricately woven layers of dreamy sounds paired with the silky vocals of frontman Russell Karloff lift the listener into another realm of hopeful reality. Thoroughly enchanting, 4-track EP Yens shimmers of goodness that shoegaze fans will gobble up upon first bite. Their most recent compilation album Ev’ry Thing In Paris was released in July for their Asian audience. She Sir is now back in the studio working on their debut full-length album Go Guitars with producer Erik Wofford, which is set to be released sometime next summer.
