Late last fall we shined a light on Pendant and their label issues. Jersey City’s Long Neck was in the same situation, and this piece started life as a mercy plea fundraiser for the band’s new LP World’s Strongest Dog. As it turns out, they hit their goal in four hours, so this is now a celebration. With still a month to ride, consider the campaign an official pre-order.

Two years on from their debut LP Will This Do, Long Neck stand a little older, a little wiser, but still just as engaged. New single “Campfire” shows them in fine form, shifting effortlessly through the gears to arrive at the throwaway mantra that’s their specialty: “Leave the campsite cleaner than when you found it…”. No doubt they’ll be hitting the road to support the new LP, and to tide you over until then, here’s an Audiotree session.
