Brooklyn’s Choirgirl currently has just one official single to their name, but it’s a stunner. “Family Tree” is a mournful look at the ties that bind and their impact on our life, ending with a breath of hope. Self-released this year, it’s a notable start for the trio of Randle Browning, Noele Flowers, and Nicole Pisco.

For a deeper look at their work, Moon Village Records captured four songs for their Pocket Sessions series, recorded live at Cortiça Sound. The setlist is: “Risk It For You”, “Family Tree”, “Stops With Me”, and “Carolyn”. The stripped-back session highlights their vocal chemistry, including a brisker version of the single. We’re eagerly awaiting the band’s next move, an EP planned for 2020.
