Fresh Out the Inbox: Lovemakers, Deerhoof, Dodos

Here’s a few email subjects that caught our attention. We thought we’d pass along the news to you.

Deerhoof is currently on tour and they’re playing the Great American Music Hall (w/ Death Sentence: Panda!, Zach Hill, Abe Vigoda). We’ve got some stills from their forthcoming video for “Jagged Fruit” (it’ll premiere next week on Pitchfork. It’s directed by Trevor Shimizu, the same dude that did the cover art for 05s The Runners Four.

The Dodos Time To Die Reaches #1 On Amazon Digital download. We’re happy for them and Frenchkiss Records. Physical copies don’t actually come out until 9/15 but you can stream it here: Time to Die

The Lovemakers are gearing up for an all California tour, which includes three shows at the super hipster Silverlake Lounge in LA. This all leads up to two record release shows: 9/11 @ the Independent and 9/12 @ Blank Club (San Jose). Let’s Be Friends is available on iTunes on September 8th.

French Miami is heading out on an extensive tour but you can catch them at a couple local places: 7/31 @ Verdi Club for The Bay Bridged and 8/1 @ Cafe Du Nord for The Deli “Dorkfest.” Download this free track while you’re here: God Damn Best
