FREE TICKETS: Culture Collide Festival, Los Angeles 10/6/2011 – 10/9/2011

Los Angeles will act as home base for Filter Magazine’s second annual Culture Collide Festival taking place on October 6th through October 9th at eight historic venues throughout the city. Think of this festival as the musical equivalent of the United Nations where bands from 23 different countries converge on Los Angeles for four jammed packed days of musical bliss. Festival goers are bound to find their favorite international flavor of music ranging from Brazil’s CSS to Australia’s The Morning After Girls to Long Beach’s own Avi Buffalo. We’re giving away a pair of festival wristbands that will get you access into all of the Culture Collide showcases as well as a special VIP viewing area for the Toyota Antics Block Party, a free event in Echo Park bringing the festival to a close on October 9th. Sound good? We think so too. Drop us a line in the comments section telling us about your ultimate international excursion, whether real or make believe, for your chance to win. Contest ends October 4th.

I remember WOODSTOCK like it was yesterday. That’s how concerts should be. All about the music and all about the art. No smart phones, texting, or email. Just to get lost in a verse or in a solo. Just beautiful music. Not one worry in the world when your there. Peace and love. This new event reminds me of that. Music, art, and film. All ways to get away in ones creativity and beauty. To appreciate some ones elses talent and to feel some one elses appreciation of your talent is a feeling like no other. Make music don’t make problems. Make love don’t make hate. Peace.

i just came back from russia this winter … russia in winter .. i happen to be a producer in the broadcast industry … i was treated like a star "hoolywood producer" everywhere … met a guys who sold me some x – girls where everywhere, bringing bottles of champange to our table .. girls parties like a rock star all night and morning .. till we got taken out to the woods to get a beat down. We ended up defending ourselves, tied the mugglers up to a tree naked, took their car and drove back to Moscow where we drove the car off an embankment and walked away … one of my friend Mob friend picked us up and took us to a secret military base ..where we got to drive tanks and sit in jets … till the "general" was on his way back and had to hig tail it out of there casue "we'd be shot on site" our Mobster (Sasha) friend told us … Sasha had a six inch gnarrly scar he got from a mission in Serbia/Kosovo but he couldnt tell us about it all … went back to Hotel where we met some ladies and …well i could go one for 15 days worth … it was cold and awesome ….
