Aaron Axelsen may have been blessed with golden ears. He’s got a knack for finding good music. Green Day, Coldplay, Radiohead and Muse are just a few of the bands that he’s help bring to the airwaves. But his efforts don’t stop there. The Live 105 music director wears many hats, aside from booking bands for the uber-hip BFD, Axelsen runs the indie-friendly Popscene every Thursday night. More importantly, Axelsen is a huge advocate for local music, just ask Papa Roach, the Lovemakers and Thriving Ivory.
