FROM THE NEWS NEST: MWTX Returns To Austin — 2012 Lineup Just Announced

March 01. 2012 | By Collin Welbon

If you are already attending SXSW or you feel like heading to Austin, TX from March 15-17 to hear some bands kick out the jams, then you’re in luck because the lineup for the 6th Annual MWTX Fest has been revealed. Yep, that’s right, MWTX is free, all ages, and open to the public.

All you have to do to reserve a spot is RSVP on the website. Bands like Built to Spill, A$AP Rocky, Cults, and many more (with a very special guest TBA) will perform over the three days at the 1100 Warehouse – located at 1100 E 5th Street and brought to you by FYF Fest and Fun Fun Fun Fest.

If you cannot attend, don’t fret, select sets from MWTX will be streamed live. The shows to be streamed will be announced soon, so check the MWTX website in the coming weeks for details.

Also for your viewing pleasure, Seagate has handpicked music photographers, Shawn Brackbill, Charles Bergquist, and Tod Seelie, to document each day of MWTX from both the performances and backstage.

“MWTX is a reminder of how it actually can be fun to hang out with your peers in a sunny boho setting (if the music remains in the hands of true fans).” – Spin
