TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 2/18/2021 Edition

February 18. 2021 | By Wayne Jessup

Welcome back to another episode of Tracks, starting in Sydney, Australia with a winning new mind bender from The Lazy Eyes. Last year’s EP1 caught our attention, and “Where’s My Brain?” paves the way nicely for the forthcoming EP2. Back home in the Bay Area, Tuneyards have unleashed “Hold Yourself”, the opening salvo from MerrillNate, and the gang’s forthcoming LP sketchy, due out 3/26 on 4AD.

Mister Goblin is Sam Rosenberg (Two Inch Astronaut), and “Six Flags America” not only sports a vocal assist from Sadie Dupuis (Sad13Speedy Ortiz), but serves as a perfect introduction to new LP Four People In An Elevator And One Of Them Is The Devil, out tomorrow on Exploding In Sound. Landing back in Australia for our closing number, “Colourblind” is just a taste of Indigo Sparke’s highly anticipated echo, also out tomorrow, on Sacred Bones.
