YOU GOTTA SEE THIS: “The Pornographer” by Parenthetical Girls

Deemed NSFW, the video for Parenthetical Girls‘ “The Pornographer” is only risqué in what it implies. Singer/director Zac Pennington is clearly receiving something pleasurable off screen, although the camera never wanders from his face and the hazy outline of another person isn’t revealed until the very last frame. Pennington seems to stare straight through the camera, rarely breaking eye contact with his imagined viewers. The video is a captivating complement to the already compelling single from Mend & Make Do, the third EP of the band’s limited edition Privilege album.
