TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 6/18/20 Edition

June 18. 2020 | By Wayne Jessup

Welcome back to another week of Tracks. We’ll call the first two cuts the Pennsylvania Turnpike segment, highlighting two of our low-key favorites of the year so far. Kicking off is Philly’s 2nd Grade. “Velodrome/My Bike” is a double jam off the quintet’s new LP, Hit To Hit, a May release on Double Double Whammy. Moving over to Pittsburgh, “Osho Tapes” from Same sets the controls for the heart of the weird. Plastic Western, their debut album, came out in May on Lauren Records.

“Biohazard” is the latest from LA’s Momma. Their sophomore LP Two of Me, came out in June on Danger Collective Records.  Ganser, from Chicago, is back with “Lucky”, their second single from their forthcoming LP Just Look At That Sky, out 7/31 on Felte. Finishing off this week, LA’s Stephen has a brand new cut “Tracer”, exploring an Overwatch obsession on the compelling video, pulled from his forthcoming second LP Arkasia , due out 8/21.
