Berkeley kicked off the weekend just right with an incredible show at the Greek Theater. Soon after the sun set over the bay, fog came spilling from the stage as Portugal. The Man took their rightful place as Lords of Berkeley, melting the faces off the crowd with their intense commanding performance and trippy psychedelic video backdrop.

Supporting act, Local Natives dominated the stage as if they were the headliner. Dynamic and full of energy, they engaged the crowd with every song. Singer Taylor Rice even took the opportunity to jump into the crowd and sing along with the fans during “Villainy.”

Shortly after the sold out crowd made it through the gates, American songwriter Benjamin Booker captured the ears of the audience with his smooth soulful voice and bluesy-fuzz-rock guitar chords.
