TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 8/12/21 Edition

August 12. 2021 | By Wayne Jessup

Welcome back to another Tracks; we’ll get the ball rolling this week with Nest favorites Say Sue Me, from Busan, South Korea. Their new single “So Tender” is the opening theme from the JTBC/Netflix Korean drama Nevertheless, out now on Warner Music Korea.

Oakland’s Taylor Vick does business as Boy Scouts, and “That’s Life Honey” is the perfect intro to her upcoming LP Wayfinder, due out 10/1 on Anti-, following up the breakthrough Free Company.

In some ways, we still haven’t recovered from Kristin Hayter’s 2019 dark gem Caligula, but let notice be served: Lingua Ignota is back. “PENNSYLVANIA FURNACE” comes to us from the just-released Sinner Get Ready, available now on Sargent House.

Sticking with Chicago, we’ll bring this episode to a close with Stuck. “Labor Leisure” is the second salvo from their EP Content That Makes You Feel Good, out tomorrow on Exploding In Sound.
